HOW TO USE BEST PRACTICES

The Best Practices must be used in conjunction with your contract documents and LAHJ codes.

 

They are meant to enhance installation, not replace it! Here are different ways to use them: 

​

  • Educate and train staff:​

    • Use photos to demonstrate techniques and help with communication challenges.

  • Review with crew to set expectations prior to installation of each scope or task.

  • Aid in conversations with GC, Engineer or Owner on topics such as sequencing, backcharges, etc.

  • During pre-production meetings with inspector to show your planned installation method.

  • Working with a third party low voltage contractor to show them how to properly line up their boxes with ours.
